Board Meeting for April 2018 and Chapter Officers' Induction

We had our board meeting before the Chapter Induction began on Thursday, April 12, 2018. In that meeting, we decided on the activity to be performed on World Family Doctors Day and we narrowed it down to Zumba (again!). I have the perception that majority of the Chapter officers love to move and so Zumba it is.

We also talked about the Postgraduate Course for this year - the cost of preregistration and onsite registration for doctors and allied professionals, the available slots for lectures, etc.

What is World Family Doctors Day? Why do we keep on celebrating it? WFDD is the day for Family Doctors like us. It is our day! We celebrate it in order that the world will know about us. It is because not all patients know the difference between Family Doctors and other specialties. We have to let them know that we exist.

After the board meeting, we proceeded with the CME activity. We had the privilege to have Dr. Crispino Ibuan, Jr. as the lecturer. Then after the lecture was the induction proper. Our Executive Secretary, Dr. Karin Estepa-Garcia, arrived on time for the induction. Dr. Aurora Espinoza, member of the national board of directors, was also there.

It was a successful and happy evening with most of the officers ending the day's activity with a dance number.
