Going Around Eastern Pangasinan

It was July 26, 2018 when our group decided to push through with our plan of visiting members in Eastern Pangasinan. We started at 7:00 AM just hoping to accomplish our plan. With the floods in certain areas in Pangasinan, we really don't know what lies ahead. We were lucky Ricky of Justright Pharmaceuticals volunteered to be our service that day.

We started off at Rosales RHU. From there we went to Balunggao RHU, San Quintin RHU, Tayug, Asingan, Pozorrubio, Urdaneta visiting private clinics, RHUs, and community hospitals. We were lucky to see the doctors in some areas but not quite so lucky in the afternoon when the rain started to pour causing flooding and doctors' clinics in Pozorrubio and Urdaneta areas were already close.

Module: Skin-in-Depth: The Itch that Rash

Our first module for this year, Skin-in-Depth: The Itch that Rash, took place at Star Plaza Hotel with J&J as the sponsor. Since our speaker, Dr. Eva Irene Yu-Maglonzo, arrived at the venue very early, we had to finish our board meeting on time so as not to keep her waiting. She had to go back to Manila right after the lecture so we started the module at exactly 6 PM.

There were 21 doctors who attended the activity. Dra. Maglonzo thank everyone for the support given by members to PAFP.

The lecture was short. We were able to pack up at 7:30 PM after the certificates were distributed. We were all on our way home by the time the rain started to pour heavily. It was as if we were only given enough time to finish the activity then head home.

July 2018 Board Meeting

The PAFP Pangasinan Chapter held its monthly board meeting on July 19, 2018 at Star Plaza Hotel. It was a very important meeting because in just a few weeks we will be having the Postgraduate Course. We were able to tackle everything that need to be decided upon in order to have an orderly and successful event. And because the meeting was an hour before the module, members who attended the module were able to have themselves preregistered for the postgrad.

Dra. Eva Irene Yu-Malonzo arrived at the venue early to witness our board meeting.

It was held on July 2, 2018 at the Sports Center of the said school with Dr. Rodolfo T. Rafael as the lecturer.

Prior to the lecture on Hepatitis B, a lecture on Health, Sanitation, and Personal Hygiene was given by Dr. Amelyn R. Rafael.

Medical Mission 2018

The PAFP Pangasinan Chapter had its medical mission on July 1, 2018 to residents of Tabugoc, Pandan, Catanduanes. We were able to give free medicines to 300 individuals of all ages. The beneficiaries of the said event were very appreciative of what we did because the nearest RHU from the baranggay is an hour away and the nearest hospital is a 3-hour drive from the place.
