1. Basic Course in Occupational Medicine

The course will run for 8 straight days. You may choose any of the following dates through the different PCOM host chapters:
January 26 -February 2, 2019 - CAMANAVA Chapter
February 6 - 13, 2019 - Paranaque-Alabang-Las Pinas-Muntinlupa Chapter
February 23-March 2, 2019 - Pasig Chapter

The course fee is fourteen thousand pesos (P14,000.00) per participant (inclusive of course manual, CD, food, transportation to plant visit) The registration is limited to 50 participants per course and will be on a first come, first served basis. They are accepting a non-refundable reservation fee of seven thousand pesos (P7,000.00) due one month before the schedule of the training to be deposited through:

January 2019 Board Meeting

This month's board meeting was held on January 17, 2019 at the PMS Building. As usual very few officers attended. Nevertheless, those present were able to finish the tasks at hand because those who attended were very much needed to decide on matters and to sign documents for submission.

The incoming set of officers for 2019-2020 will start attending board meetings on March 2019 after Dr. Leonardo Guerrero, our incoming chapter president, is inducted in the Annual Convention. The complete list of incoming officers will be posted once it has been finalized by Dr. Guerrero.

2019 Annual Convention

For those who failed to pre-register last month, pre-registration for the PAFP Annual Convention has been extended until tomorrow, January 15, 2019. Registration on-site will only be on March 6 to 9, 2019.

December Board Meeting and Christmas Party 2018

The PAFP Pangasinan Chapter had its Christmas party on December 7, 2018 at Lenox Hotel, Dagupan City. It was preceded by the board meeting an hour before the party.

As planned, there were plenty of giveaways to attendees. Everyone enjoyed the games, singing, and dancing. There was no dull moment. We all had fun even though it was only two and a half hours from start to finish.

November Board Meeting

Officers of our chapter recently had a board meeting for the month of November to finalize all details regarding our upcoming Christmas party on December 7, 2018. It will be held at Lenox Hotel at 6 p.m.

We will be giving free items for the first 50 attendees but they should be physically present to claim their prizes at the end of the party.

All members are invited to attend this once a year activity. There will be lots of fun. Join us!

The 2nd and Last Module

The module on Gut Microbiota held on October 18, 2018 was our chapter's second and last for this year. It's not well attended compared to all previous modules probably because of the heavy rain in the afternoon. Nevertheless it went well even with just 14 attendees. The topic was very informative and those who attended felt thankful for all the new information we all learned from our speaker, Dr. Ramon Jason M. Javier.

October 2018 Board Meeting

The PAFP Pangasinan Chapter had its board meeting for October 18, 2018 at 5p.m. before the module on Gut Microbiota. It was held at Star Plaza Hotel. There were 10 officers who attended and this early we talked about our Christmas Party.

PAFP Pangasinan Chapter will hold its second module this year entitled GUT Microbiota: Infectious Diarrhea and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The venue will be at Star Plaza Hotel at exactly 6 P.M. Please come on time.

Elderly Week Celebration: Free Screening

The first week of October is Elderly Week celebration here in the Philippines. And so same as last year, we did another free screening to Senior Citizens to celebrate the occasion. This time in two towns - Mangaldan and San Carlos City, Pangasinan. We did ECG and screened for FBS, BUA, and Cholesterol on October 3, 2018.

We were able to screen 29 elderly persons in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

We were able to screen 80 elderlies in PPH, San Carlos City Pangasinan

Medicine Week Celebration: Tree Planting

To celebrate Medicine Week, our group planted narra trees in a mountainous place in Balungao, Pangasinan . The officers agreed on this activity during the first board meeting of the year, March 2018. But despite the fact that they proposed and agreed, still very few came even with monthly reminder and early announcement. Nevertheless, the six of us did justice to the activity. We started at 7 A.M. on September 29, 2018.
